The  Friends of the Green Line is a voluntary group that manages the conservation of the Green Line in West Bridgford.

The Green Line has a great value as a walkway, giving exhilarating views of the city and providing a valuable green lung in this closely built up area. One of the key features of the line is its importance as a wildlife link. In urban areas it is very easy for animal and plant populations to become fragmented and isolated by new developments. It is important to preserve the linear routes which connect wildlife areas and allow species to migrate. You can help by:
 - Not dropping litter
- Not allowing dogs to foul the path
- Joining a working party for a few hours
- Reporting damage to Rushcliffe Borough Council
